In early 2019, invisible asterisks partnered with the humanitarian leadership academy to think about the future of humanitarian skills. through participatory action research sessions in jordan and the phillippines with humanitarian workers, we created a set of speculative future scenarios and forecasts that resulted in camp 2029, a critical design future scenario examining a dark future of technology in the humanitarian sector. Built for the oculus go vr platform, It has been showcased at the barbican with an immersive experiential exhibition in march 2019 and is forthcoming to the oculus and android playstore with an accompanying narrative report in 2019. the goal of the project is to create a forecast of the future with several immersive entry points to allow humanitarian workers to more effectively plan today for the future.
